SUNNYSIDE ENERGY PROJECT​
In 2017, we were afforded an opportunity to submit an idea for the C40 Re-inventing Cities competition.  We joined about 70 other bidders and made the final 7 or so. Needless to say, our Agriculture Hub component was our “Full House” card that may have been the game changer.  Now, “Sunshine is about to shine in Sunnyside.”

THE STEM FOUNDATION PROGRAM​
The STEM Foundation provides project-based instructions in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math that we call “seeds of success”. The program offers one-on-one guidance to show S.T.E.M. in everyday life through presentations from professionals and local businesses; as well as, local field trips to see STEM in action.

THE SOLAR OUTDOOR CLASSROOM​
The Solar Outdoor Classroom is a project that was birthed from The STEM Foundation Program as a tool to teach/learn math in a fun way. This project is an “Outdoor Classroom” application where the students are accounting for kilowatts of energy made monthly at 4818 Higgins Street. The project will produce youth pioneers in energy production and allow them to become “The New Power Generation.”

GLOBAL EDUCATION EXCHANGE COALITION
This program is an international collaboration inclusive of organizations from Los Angeles, CA; Washington, DC; Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA; and several South Africa areas.  Together, we provide a week of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math experiences for youth that betters the location we visit called “STEAMtheBlock”.

SENIORS LUNCH PROGRAM​
This program provides fellowship opportunities for seniors as they age in place gracefully.  Many of them are widows and long for the company of others and we provide that needed component.  Yes, there’s food, fitness, field trips and plan old fun, but basically great fellowship.
